So the Antigone album is out by the famous death-metal/death-core band Heaven Shall Burn. It has been what? 3 years? since their last album and well, I wouldn't call it my favorite album of all time, but it's pretty decent and got a few good songs. The only thing I think I'll have to point out is that
the whole album starts out with the piano-intro Echoes which, honestly in my opinion, sounds a little to familiar to the intro Awoke to the song Endzeit or is it just my mistake?
Otherwise a decent album.

It now stands clear that Slayer will be turning up on the Sweden Rock Festival, and in my opinion the best band that Sweden Rock has atm. Metaltown also revealed that such great bands as Bullet for my Valentine, Bleeding Through (a personal favorite) and Sonic Syndicate will be rocking the stage, and the people in Gothenburg.

I am working on my reviews and I am listening through some records at this very moment.
The review of Heaven Shall Burns new album "Antigone" and The Baseballs album "Strike" will be up in a near future.
Last but not least I'll leave you with the news that Soilwork is from now on studio bloging while they are working on their new album "The Panic Broadcast"

On January 29th Backyard Babies held their last concert in Sweden before their break. How long the break will be is undeterment and the question if they'll ever come back is hanging in the air. Backyard confessed that a break-up will be necessary already back in 08 since they felt that the touring had become to much of a "money-hunt"
Now they're doing their last tour before the break, and it almost feels like they would pay, from their own pocket, to perform. For 1 hour and 40 minutes they really rocked the stage with a good mix of songs that really sums up their 20 years as a band.

Swedish modern metal badasses SOILWORK have just announced a series of special, upcoming live in-studio web streams throughout the month of February / March for the recording process of the upcoming album, "The Panic Broadcast".
The First Stream is to be set on Thursday the 28th, 10.00 PM
Anyone who misses the live stream will be able to watch a re-broadcast of every stream on the band's uStream.tv channel and on the band's YouTube channel.

Once again have LostProphets delivered. The New Album "The Betrayed" which is their fourth studio album have a great punk/rock sound to it. It may differ from the sound that your are used to but none the less a great album. One can only hope that this trend sticks.
Hopefully they wont turn into money obsessed whores that will sell all their dignity to MTV.
(not mentioning any names)
Well, I figured I should just throw myself in to this. I thought that I would write about the main rock-festivals here in Sweden this year.
We have the:
Metaltown Festival
Peace And Love
Hultsfred
Sonisphere
Sweden Rock Festival
And the Arvika festival.
Though Metaltown and Sonisphere are the larger ones when it comes to rock, the other festivals are still pretty fucking decent.
I visited the Metaltown festival year 2008, when In Flames, Killswitch Engage and Dimmu Borgir were the main attraction. It was the first time I ever saw any of the bands and I can assure you that just the thought of seeing In Flames live felt fucking awesome.
This year the line-up (so far) comes down to:
In flames - www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LJOYxVuIyw
Raubtier - www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zvqw6d_KS8Q
Rammstein - www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHWicNDkbpw
Dark Tranquility - www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKjzDU7V7es&feature=fvst
Sabaton - www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xYzQ-SRs4g&feature=related
Nile - www.youtube.com/watch?v=44jRUTKDLYI
Finntroll - www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGywo81G6lk&feature=fvst
Cynic - www.youtube.com/watch?v=us25VHj2dPo&feature=related
But I don't think I will attend this festival since I've already been there once. Instead I'm going to the Sonisphere Festival which is a pretty fucking ace tour.
The line-up last year contained bands such as Metallica and Lamb Of God.
This years line-up is even better (IMO OFC) since they have picked up, to mention a few, Iron Maiden (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHTNgJftbLA) and one of my favorite bands of all time MÖTLEY FUCKING CREW (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0Y2g3zOzZM).
I bet that this will become a brilliant fucking year of rock!
I thought I would end this first time with a quote from "The Calcium Kid"
"There Is Usually A Winner In A Two Horse Race"

About Me

- Roc( k )Ache
- Welcome fellow listeners of ROCK! The purpose of the Roc(k)Ache blog is to share me and my friends passion for rock music. You might ask yourself - "Is this blog worth reading? Well one thing is shitclear, I'm going to make this blog so fucking awesome that you'd rather read this then fuck your wife. You would rather read this then to feed your own fucking kids, and you would definitely rather read this blog before buying some piece of shit album that with most probability will not be worth your precious money. Now how will I assure you this? As fast as I get my hands on a new record I will review it here. I will also review live performances, books, films - as long as it contains some sort of kick-ass Metal, Psychosocial Hardcore or perhaps just even some lame-fuck that complains about how hard it is to be a rock star. I will review all kinds of rock/punk/metal/hardcore and such. As said before - everything I can get my hands on. If you'd like me to review something you just leave a comment. Cya for now, and remember. ROCK'N'RRROOLL
